Finding Inspiration in Every Story

Our Story

The ENTRELIBROS Book Club was created to keep nurturing a love of reading and to celebrate the magic of the festival all year long. Once a month, families gather at IMAGO to read together, talk, and create based on the most beautiful stories in Spanish-language children’s literature.

In a place like Miami—where so many languages and roots live side by side—reading in Spanish is more than a habit: it’s a way to keep identity alive, strengthen family bonds, and share the joy of words that unite us.

Each meeting combines reading, conversation, and art in an environment full of imagination, beauty, and warmth.

Twelve Sundays a year dedicated to discovering new books, authors, and illustrators, looking at the world with curious eyes, and celebrating—together—the wonderful adventure of reading.

Book Club Objectives

• Spark a love for reading in Spanish from early childhood by sharing stories that inspire imagination, emotion, and curiosity.

• Build family and community connections through reading and art, enjoying moments of discovery and creativity together.

• Celebrate Spanish as a living, beautiful part of our cultural identity—especially in bilingual settings where reading in Spanish unites and strengthens us.

HOW IT WORKS

We’ll meet on the third Sunday of each month at IMAGO CULTURAL CENTER for 11 months and the 12th meeting (in October), will be part of ENTRELIBROS..

Each gathering includes:

• A carefully selected book
• A guided discussion about the story
• An art activity inspired by the story
• The joy of reading, talking, and creating together

We’ll explore the latest releases from the festival’s participating publishers as well as unforgettable classics that never stop shining.

• Being bilingual broadens how we see and understand the world. Reading in Spanish opens the door to different ways of imagining, storytelling, and feeling—from poetry to short stories to the history of Latin American art.

• Reading in Spanish brings us closer to the diverse voices, accents, and perspectives of the Spanish-speaking world, fostering coexistence and respect in a place where so many cultures meet.
