About the event
A production of five monologues directed by Mónica Quintero and Saúl Mendoza, starring women who bring to the stage intimate, intense, and truthful stories. This project was born from IMAGO x las ARTES’ Theater Workshop on Monologues, a collective process in which the actresses explored text, body, and voice to shape honest and moving performances.
Over 10 weeks, under the direction of Mónica Quintero and Saúl Mendoza, a group of women worked from both technique and emotion: breathing, vocal release, guided improvisation, text analysis, and stage composition.
Each actress discovered the inner voice of her character, exploring her story and physical presence until finding a truth that can only emerge from lived experience. The result is a theatrical recital where each piece opens a different window into the feminine universe: memory, desire, loss, motherhood, and perspective.
