About the event
In this edition of Poetry Nights, IMAGO por las Artes invites us to explore poetic translation as a meeting place between languages, voices, and sensibilities.
Ximena Gómez, George Franklin, and Luis Alejandro Ordóñez will share their poetry and experiences with the process of translation, exploring the choices, challenges, and possibilities that arise when bringing a poem from one language into another while preserving what makes it unique.
The reading will be followed by a conversation presented by Claudia Noguera Penso, offering an opportunity to approach translation not only as a linguistic exercise, but also as an act of interpretation, recreation, and discovery—allowing us to encounter the poem from a new perspective.
