JUAN LUIS GUERRA: The Musical Intelligence of the Caribbean
A journey through the life and work of one of the most influential artists in Latin American music. From his early years and the sonic explorations of his first albums with 4.40, to the global breakthrough of Ojalá que llueva café and Bachata rosa, this guided listening session traces the path of a musician who transformed merengue, bachata, and son into vehicles of poetry.
Through key recordings, little-known anecdotes, and accessible musical analysis, we will explore how Juan Luis Guerra evolved from a young composer with jazz influences into one of the most respected and influential voices in the Spanish-speaking world.
